Coach Lauren Teague has been named a 2026 Outstanding NC Youth Academy Coach by NCYSA! Coach Lauren has been coaching with CMSC since 2021 and currently serves as director of coaching as well as coaching the 2025-26 U12 Girls Academy team. She is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator locally. Coach Lauren is a native of Haywood County and played for Tuscola High School, her club team out of Asheville, NC as well as participant in the NC Olympic Developmental Program.  Lauren also received a scholarship to play soccer in college. Soccer has been a big part of Lauren's life. She said

"Soccer is such a great sport! It teaches character, confidence and teamwork.  I love coaching the younger ages because you can see their confidence grow season after season, not only on the field but off the field as well.  I am also grateful to the parents who offer their unwavering support to all my ideas."
