Tryouts / Registration 2020-2021 Information

  • TRYOUTS are FREE, there is no cost to tryout. 

  •  All players MUST register online before tryouts to be placed on a CMSC team. Online registration will close Friday, July 10 at midnight.

  • NO FEES will be charged to players until NCYSA notifies CMSC there will be a season.

Boys / Girls Born 2007-2008 Comp Tryouts July 14, 6-7pm

Girls ONLY 2004-2006 Comp Tryouts
July 15, 6-7:00pm

Girls ONLY 2002-2003 Comp Tryouts July 15, 7-8:00pm


  • Players that were on a previous 2019-2020 CMSC team will be contacted by their coach from last season. Returning players can be placed on a team without attending tryouts. New players to CMSC will be contacted by Scott Clontz, Director of Coaching in regards to on field evaluations. Tryouts and evaluations are not required and players can be placed without an evaluation.

  • UPDATE TO ACADEMY/JUNIORS PROGRAM: Academy families (players born 2011-2015) can now choose: 1) play Fall only, 2) play Spring only or 3) play Fall and Spring. In addition, Players born in 2013 (U8) can now choose between a Juniors program which includes local games and one weekly practice or Academy which travels and includes 2 weekly practices.

    Please bring Medical Waiver , NCYSA Covid Release Form and a Copy of your Childs Birth Certificate to Tryouts/Evaluations

    Roster spots on other teams may be available. We will happily evaluate any player for any age group throughout the year. It is possible that players can be added to existing team based on roster space available. Please contact Scott Clontz to setup an evaluation.

    Additional Tryout Information:


  • Players are required to arrive at tryouts and leave tryouts with their face covered.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after tryouts. Please avoid touching your face. CMSC will provide hand sanitizer for all coaches to bring to Tryout sessions however we encourage players bring their own sanitizer to keep in bags.
  • If any player exhibits a fever of 100.4 degrees and/or potential symptoms of illness 14 days prior to tryouts, please contact CMSC to arrange alternative tryout.
  • Players are not to step on the field for training any earlier than 5 minutes before your start your tryout session. It is requested that players stay in vehicles with parents.
  • All players are to have water bottles with names clearly labelled and are not to share any water with teammates.
  • Players are to practice social distancing, keeping bags/gear at least 6 feet apart from others and at locations designated by coaches.
  • Players are to refrain from any unnecessary touching with teammates including high-5’s, hugs, handshakes.


  • It is the parent’s responsibility to take the temperature of their child before coming to a tryout session.
  • Please consider not carpooling but if necessary we encourage this to be very limited.
  • Any parents staying at the fields during tryout sessions are requested to stay in their vehicles.
  • Parents, you are required to wear a face mask when not in your vehicle.
  • Notify the club if your child does become ill.
